Jim Prosser founded J.K. Carriere Wines in 1999 after working at a winery in Burgundy, where he developed a deep appreciation for the Burgundian style of winemaking. Like the French Burgundies, Jim's wines are more acidic and are meant to be aged in the cellar for several years before drinking. The distinctive wasp can be seen on the label in the background because Jim is very allergic to them. However, the focus of the composition of this painting is not the bottle or the label but more appropriately on the glass and the wine.
